Jean, you always kept the dance floor alive. Whether it was at our wedding, Kirsty’s, Fiona’s, or Gramps’ 90th birthday, we’ve shared so many dance floors with you. Your laughter was infectious, and you always made us smile.
You had a heart of gold—always kind, always generous with your time, and always ready to chat at family gatherings. Your face would light up as you told us what Kathryn, Stuart and Carrie had been up to, beaming with pride at everything they had achieved.
When your grandchildren came along, you became such a devoted and proud granny. You never hesitated to make train journeys just to spend time looking after them, and every story you told us about them was filled with such love that anyone listening couldn’t help but smile.
That’s who you were—someone whose life was full of love, and who gave that love so freely.
I still have the butterfly magnets you sent me when I was going through my treatment—I think of you every time I see them—as well as the beautiful cards you wrote. Those thoughtful gestures meant so much and are memories I will always treasure.
We are so incredibly sad because you were so deeply loved by so many. Thank you for being such a special part of our lives. We feel truly lucky to have known you.
We hope that you and Auntie Cathy are together again now, laughing, dancing, and watching over us all.
All our love,
Howard, Cerri and the children xxx
